The Lip Oil That Made Glossy Cool Again
Dior · Addict Lip Glow Oil
Part treatment, part tinted gloss, wholly addictive — with a cult following for good reason.
The lip oil renaissance owes a great deal to this little twisted-cap bottle. Dior’s Lip Glow Oil sits in the sweet spot between lip care and colour: glossier than a balm, kinder than a gloss, and just pigmented enough to look intentional. It’s the product I reach for when I want to look put-together in three seconds flat.
The overview
Built on a cherry-oil complex, the formula is genuinely conditioning — lips feel softer with regular use rather than more dependent. The colours are largely pH- and warmth-reactive, so a “clear” or “pink” bottle blooms into a soft, personalised flush rather than a flat shade. The result reads expensive: your-lips-but-glazed.
Application (see the clip above)
The doe-foot applicator is generous; one swipe per lip is plenty. I dab the excess for daytime, or layer for full glass-lip shine. It’s also my favourite overnight treatment — a thick coat before bed, softer lips by morning. The short video walks through both the everyday and the layered looks.
The verdict
Yes, $40 is a lot for a lip oil, and that’s the only thing keeping it from a perfect score. But the texture, the nourishment, and the effortless flush are all genuinely excellent. 4.5 stars, and the tin I reach for most in this whole review library.
